Meditative Painting Session
Relax and reset this weekend through a session of guided meditative painting, then enjoy some tea with us after!
When and Where: Inner Journeys (4005 9 Street SE) on Saturday, May 11th at 3:00pm.
The session will be approx. 90min long.
There is free parking on-site.
Please bring a yoga/gym mat if you have one, if not please reserve one (no extra charge) by messaging us after you have purchased your ticket!
What is Meditative Painting with MediPaint?
In short – our guided meditation incorporates painting and music to encourage mindfulness and to help you achieve inner equilibrium.
We use movement and music to help facilitate the process of meditation. Your inner state is the main focus, while your creation is led by intuition (there is no specific object or subject to think or paint about). Allowing the music and spoken word to take you over, negative and stressful energy can flow out, while positive, relaxing and healing energy can be brought inward.
What kind of paint do you use?
We use water-based, non-toxic paints.
What is required of me?
An open mind and heart – no experience or artistic skill is necessary, and all materials will be provided. Remember that the end-goal is not what you’ve painted, but to reap the benefits of meditation! Please arrive on time. Prior to starting we will ask that your devices be turned off and out of eye sight for the duration of the session to allow for complete focus on meditation. Similar to yoga, meditative painting is not a social activity, so please respect the room and refrain from socializing during the session.
