The practices of mindfulness and meditation have been around for centuries, dating back to ancient times. In the modern world, the factors of stress are difficult to escape, especially in the city and in the corporate world. These practices, along with physical exercise (and of course healthy eating), have been proven time and time again to have positive and even healing effects. Practicing self-awareness and self-care also cultivates better relationships with family, friends and co-workers.
Our guided meditation sessions incorporate painting and music to help you get clarity and achieve inner equilibrium. Painting allows for movement, while your finished product can be taken home for a little self-reflection and help bring you back to center in your own meditation practice. Your inner state is the main focus, with creation being led by intuition (there is no specific object or subject to think or paint about). Allowing the music and spoken words to take you over, negative and stressful energy can flow out, while positive, relaxing and healing energy can be brought inward. Sessions are completely guided and require no experience or artistic skill.
We also offer sessions of guided meditation without painting, as well as combination workshops (i.e. yoga and meditative painting).
